Itera Suspends Gas Supply to Georgia
(Tbilisi, September 7, 2003, Civil Georgia) – The Russian energy giant Itera again cut the gas supply to Georgia, because of the country’s failure to repay its debt.
Itera demands repayment of the tax for consumed gas during August – USD 280,000.
The Russian company is the only gas supplier to Georgia at the moment. The company has already cut the gas supply to Georgia for three times this year.
