Russia Denies Violating Georgia’s Airspace
(Tbilisi, August 30, 2003, Civil Georgia) – The spokesman of the Air Forces of the Russian Federation, Colonel Alexander Drobishevsky categorically denied Georgia’s reports about the violation of the country’s airspace by a Russian SU-25 frogfoot plane on August 29.
“The SU-25 planes did not conduct any flights in the North-Caucasian direction on August 29,” he said.
The Georgian Border Guard Department reported that a Russian SU-25 frogfoot plane violated Georgia’s airspace on August 29.
