Burjanadze Hopeless over Compromise on Election Code

(Tbilisi, August 4, 2003, Civil Georgia) – Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze considers pointless to hold consultations over the election code, saying all the hopes for the compromise between the opposition and the government faded away.

“I have done my best, but it is difficult to reach a consensus, when the pro-governmental Parliamentary faction does not compromise,” Nino Burjanadze said at the news briefing on August 4.
