(Tbilisi, July 15, 2003, Civil Georgia) – Leader of Adjarian Autonomous Republic Aslan Abashidze subjected the central authority of Georgia to severe criticism at a special briefing held in Adjarian capital of Batumi on July 15.

“Current authorities can not rule the country normally, however they do their best to keep power,” Aslan Abashidze said.

He also slammed State Minister Avtandil Jorbenadze, who, according to the Adjarian leader, promised to transfer funds to the Adjarian budget, though did not keep his promise.
