Intellectuals Express Trust towards Burjanadze

(Tbilisi, July 3, 2003, Civil Georgia) – Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze met with the representatives of the Georgian intelligentsia on July 2.

Intellectuals expressed deep concern regarding the situation in the country and stated that they trust Nino Burjanadze.

Parliamentary Chairperson said at the meeting that the country needs ?revolutionary changes, but not with the revolution.?

?Today?s meeting and the views expressed by the intelligentsia should be a clear message for the government that urgent measures must be carried out to improve the situation in the country,? Nino Burjanadze told the reporters after the meeting.
