Justice Ministry Helps to Avoid Election Fraud
(Tbilisi, July 1, 2003, Civil Georgia) – The Georgian Justice Ministry submitted today the list of those 350.000 person deceased in Georgia during the last ten years to the Central Election Commission (CEC).
The action aims at avoiding ballot fraud during the Parliamentary elections, scheduled for November 2. During the previous elections numerous facts were recorded when deceased persons were included in the election lists.
The Justice Ministry has also submitted to the CEC the list of 1200 prisoners, who have no right to participate in the elections.
The lists were submitted to the CEC after upon the Parliament?s request.
