Armenian President Visits Georgia

(Tbilisi, June 27, 2003, Civil Georgia) – Armenian President Robert Kocharian arrives today in Tbilisi for two-day official visit.

Meeting with President Shevardnadze, Georgian Foreign Minister and State Minister are scheduled during the meeting. President Kocharian also intends to meet representatives of the Armenian community in Georgia.

Bilateral cooperation and regional security issues will be discussed during the meeting of Armenian President and Georgian authorities.

It is anticipated that Robert Kocharian will push the issue of restoration of the railway link between Russia and Armenia, via Georgia.
