GTEP Phase Three Starts

(Tbilisi, May 21, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Third phase of the US-financed Georgian Train and Equip Program (GTEP) has started today in Georgia.

The American instructors will conduct field training of the 113th Battalion of the 11th Brigade of the Defense Ministry on Iagluja military range.

The 113th Battalion is a newly created unit and has 558 soldiers. The battalion will be finally formed for 2004.
