Visit of the IMF and CoE Experts

(Tbilisi, May 20, 2003. Civil Georgia) – A delegation of the IMF experts arrived today to Tbilisi to examine the process of implementation of the IMF recommendations by the Georgian side.

At the same time visit of the experts of the Council of Europe continues in Tbilisi. On the second day of their stay in Tbilisi the CoE experts are discussing the mechanism of prevention of the money laundering.

The Council of Europe is dissatisfied because the Georgian side still does not have a law against the money laundering. The CoE experts urge the Georgian side to adopt the law as soon as possible.
