Ardzinba Appoints New Cabinet

(Tbilisi, May 6, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Leader of the self-declared Abkhazian republic Vladislav Ardzinba signed a decree regarding the appointment of the new cabinet.

Vladislav Eshba was appointed the defense minister, replacing Raul Khajimba, who was promoted to the prime-minister’s post. The other appointments are as follows: Lili Bganba – minister of finance, Adgura Lushba – minister of tax revenues, Lyudmila Abidzba – minister of health care, Aleko Gvaramia – minister of education, Leonid Enik – minister of culture.

7 out 8 ministers above have left on the same posts as in the previous cabinet. Ardzinba dismissed the previous government last month upon request of its members, connected with worsened situation in Abkhazia.
