Opposition Parties Hold Consultations
(Tbilisi February 5, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Leading opposition parties hold talks beyond the closed doors at the New Rights Party office in Tbilisi today.
Representatives of the New Rights, United Democrats, National Movement, National-Democratic Party, Traditionalists, Labors Party, Ertoba and Peoples Party attend the meeting. Representative of the US National-Democratic Institute (NDI) also participates in the meeting.
After the talks opposition leaders will hold a news briefing and condemn a violent attack against the New Rights Party’s office on February 3.
Situation in the country on the eve of the Parliamentary elections, which is scheduled in autumn, 2003 is also discussed at the meeting.
