Two Georgians Released in Abkhazia

(Tbilisi, January 20, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Abkhaz side released today two Georgians out of four detained by the Abkhaz special forces during the mop-up operation in Gali district of breakaway Abkhazia on December 26.

De facto Abkhaz authorities accused Georgian detainees for violating Georgian-Abkhaz border.

Georgian side as well as the UN Observers Mission in Georgia categorically demanded from the Abkhaz side to release arrested Georgians.
