President of Ukraine Optimistic about GUUAM

(Tbilisi, August 30 2002, Civil Georgia) – President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma thinks that bilateral relations between Georgia and Ukraine would be critical for GUUAM development and creation of free trade zone in the framework of this organization.

During his meeting with the Secretary of Georgian National Security Council Tedo Japaridze President of Ukraine confirmed readiness of Kiev to deepen relationship with Georgia. He positively assessed bilateral relations dynamic, informs “Rianovosti”.

According to Kuchma, Chairmanship of Georgia would encourage implementation of decisions made at the July Yalta summit.
