CEC Recounted 25% of Votes in Tbilisi

(Tbilisi, August 27 2002, Civil Georgia) Central Elections Commission already accounted 25% of vote casts of Tbilisi local elections. Ultimate results will be announced at the end of September.

According to CEC representative, recount results are not very different from the previous one.

After categorical demands and ultimatums of the Investigation Commission of the Parliament, on July 30 the Central Elections Commission (CEC) started recounting of the votes cast during the elections of Tbilisi City Council – Sakrebulo on June 2.
