By-Elections Together With Locals

(Tbilisi, June 2, Civil Georgia) – Together with the locals by-elections are held in four constituencies of Georgia on June 2.

In Tbilisi Samgori constituency Mikheil Machavariani from Zurab Zhvania’s Team and Levan Jakeli (the New Rights support his candidature) run for MP.

In the provincial Mtskheta constituency former high officials are the contenders, Koba Buchukuri, ex-governor of Mtskheta-Mtianeti region and Badri Khatidze, former Head of the President’s Regional Service. Both of them were dismissed because of the tax evasion charges.

By-elections are also held in Georgia’s provincial Sagarejo and Gurjaani constituencies.
