Situation is Under Control in Kodori, Parliamentary Chairperson Says
“Situation in Kodori gorge is under control. President Shevardnadze has left for Kodori. Georgian military high officials are also in Kodori,” Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze stated at the session on April 12.
In case the Russian peacekeepers are not pulled out from the gorge it will be the aggression against Georgia, Nino Burjanadze said.
Parliamentarians have already worked out the statement concerning the Russian soldiers’ move to Kodori gorge. MPs will adopt the statement at the Parliamentary session today.
“The Parliamentary session will continue till we are sure that the situation is improving in Kodori gorge,” Nino Burjanadze stated.
