Georgian Security Chief Excludes Joint Military Operations in Pankisi

(Tbilisi, February 25, Civil Georgia) – Georgian State Security Minister Valeri Khaburdzania stated on February 24 that special operation will not be carried out in Pankisi with USA and Russia’s involvement.

“Georgia is ready to receive information and other technical assistance from the USA and Russia. Georgia is capable to cope with the situation in Pankisi gorge and destroy small armed groups there,” the Minister stated.

Georgian State Security Ministry says that the law enforcers have a new secret plan of activity in the gorge in order to eradicate lawless in the gorge.
