Security Council Secretary Denies Accusation in a Conspiracy Against Abashidze

(Tbilisi, February 20, Civil Georgia) – Georgian Security Council Secretary Nugzar Sajaia called false the accusations in masterminding an assassination of the Head of the Adjara Autonomous Republic Aslan Abashidze.

MP Boris Kakubava stated on February 19 that Sajaia and the Head of Intelligence Department Avtandil Ioseliani intended assassinate Abashidze.

Security Council Secretary requested General Prosecutor to investigate the accusations .

Another MP Jemal Gogitidze accused Intelligence chief Avtandil Ioseliani in masterminding assassination of the Adjara leader on February 15. Ioseliani denied the claims.
