Gunshot Towards Rustavi 2 Office

(Tbilisi, February 19, Civil Georgia) – A bullet and a shot were found in one of the rooms of independent TV channel Rustavi 2. The shot is made from the outside.

The room belongs to Akaki Gogichaishvili, the author of journalist investigation program “the 60 Minutes”.

The TV channel representatives say the shot was made to terrify the journalists.

The case is being investigated. The law enforcers avoid to clarify particular versions of the case.

A famous journalist working for the channel Giorgi Sanaia was found shot in his apartment in August 2001.

Representatives of the State Security Ministry raided the office of Rustavi 2 in October 2001.
