Vital Power Line Damaged Again
(Tbilisi, January 17, Civil Georgia) – High voltage power line Kavkasioni, supplying electricity from Russia to Georgia, was damaged with the gunshot in Svaneti, western mountainous region of Georgia, on January 17.
It is unknown who shot the power line so far.
Georgian Fuel-Energy Ministry restored the line on January 15 damaged on January 2 because of the heavy snowfalls.
After the explosion at AES-Mtkvari power plant on December 22, Kavkasioni power line became vital as Russia doubled electricity supply to Georgia.
