Parliament Discusses 2002 Draft Budget

(Tbilisi, January 17, Civil Georgia) – The Parliament initiated discussion of draft of the 2002 budget on January 17. Despite legislators’ demand revenues in the draft are increased only by 26 million Lari (approximately $12 million).

MPs refuse to approve proposed draft budget. They demand to increase revenues at least by 140 million Lari.
