Internal Affairs Minister Inspects Checkpoints in Pankisi

(Tbilisi, January 16, Civil Georgia) – Internal Affairs Minister Koba Narchemashvili personally inspects the internal troops’ checkpoint in Pankisi gorge on January 16.

Internal Affairs Minister states that advancement of the checkpoints deeper into the gorge went without any accidents.

On January 16 Georgian law enforcers launch operative-investigative actions to free the hostages, remove firearms and eliminate drug trafficking in the gorge.

This is the second important action of the law enforcers after the removal of the checkpoints on January 15.
