Commission Formed to Reform Law Enforcement Agancies

(Tbilisi. December 7. Civil Georgia) – President Shevardnadze formed a special commission to pass the reforms in State Security, Internal Affairs Ministries and General Prosecutor’s Office. Chairman of Supreme Court Lado Chanturia is the head of the commission.

The commission is to propose suggestions over the passing reforms in the law enforcement agencies in April 2002.

Internal Affairs and State Security Ministers, as well as General Prosecutor stated in their program speeches that they are committed to reforms law enforcement structures.
