New Parliamentary Majority to Appoint Ministers Not Favored By Shevardnadze
The new parliamentary majority will be formed which will appoint ministers not favored by President Shevardnadze, representative of reformers wing, head of the Parliamentary Defense and Security Committee Giorgi Baramidze announced.
At the briefing in Parliament Giorgi Baramidze listed factions, which will possibly form a new majority. “The Citizen’s Union, the Traditionalists, the XXI Century, he New Abkhazia – Christian-Democrats and the Industrialists may form a new parliamentary majority”, Baramidze stated.
Reformer MP is against President Shevardnadze’s resignation at the moment and calls the protesters gathered in front of the Parliament building for dismissal.
