Saakashvili Runs for MP

Ex-Justice Minister Mikheil Saakashvili will run for MP as an independent candidate in Vake district, Tbilisi. Saakashvili announced his resignation late in the evening yesterday. It is impossible to fight against corruption and pass reforms while being in the government, he stated.

Elections in Vake are scheduled for October 21. The registration deadline for the candidates is September 21.
