Opposition charges the government with an attempt of postponing the local self – governance elections

The address of the opposition fractions emphasizes on the recognition of all level elections held in Georgia as sham by the Council of Europe.  International and regional organizations consider the existence of deficient electoral law to be the chief reason for shamming the elections.  “That is why the European and international institutes require to adopt a democratic and equal right guaranteeing electoral law, as well as the election of regional and city self – governances by the people using the proportionate system.”

The opposition has charged the government with the dragging of the process mentioned aiming at shamming the elections one more time or not holding the scheduled local self – governance elections in the fall at all.  Taking into account the above said, opposition categorically demands setting of concrete date of local elections.
