Ukrainian Leader in Georgia to Mark Rose Revolution

Ukrainian leader Victor Yushchenko arrived in Georgia on November 23 for a brief visit to mark the 3-year anniversary of Georgia?s Rose Revolution.


After arrival Yushchenko headed to the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Tbilisi, where he became the godfather of President Saakashvili?s second son Nikoloz in the infant’s baptism ceremony.


The ceremony was also attended by visiting Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Poland’s parliament speaker Marek Jurek, who arrived in Tbilisi on November 22.


The Ukrainian, Estonian and Polish officials are also expected to address the Georgian Parliament on November 23.
