Arms Cache Discovered in Pankisi

Georgian law enforcers discovered arms cache in the Pankisi gorge, the State Security Ministry reported on December 18.

The arms cache included 20 ground-to-air missiles. The arms cache allegedly belonged to Chechen fighters, which were hiding in Pankisi gorge.

According to the State Security Ministry, there are no more Chechen fighters in the gorge since last year, when the Georgian law enforcers carried out anti-crime operation in the gorge.
