Explosion in Abkhazia Wounds One
A man was wounded in Sokhumi, Abkhazia when an explosive device went off in front of a residential building on Monday evening.
Local media sources reported that the blast occurred on Kalmykov Street, with its wave lightly damaging two nearby buildings.
The victim, Ruslan Argun, forty-three-year old Abkhaz war veteran, had to have part of his leg amputated after the explosion.
Sokhumi authorities said an investigation was launched into attempted murder and illegal acquisition of weapons.
