Chief of Russia’s NSC Meets Abkhaz Leader in Sokhumi

Secretary of Russia’s National Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, met with Abkhaz leader Alexander Ankvab Sokhumi on December 15, Abkhaz news agency, Apsnypress, reported.

Patrushev said after the meeting that he had discussed cooperation in security related issues. “I am satisfied with the results of the meeting,” he said.

Ankvab said after the meeting that security remains a priority issue for Sokhumi and “these issues are being addressed successfully.”

Also on December 15, Patrushev visited Russia’s military base in Gudauta.
