PM Downplays Wanted Warlord’s Threats

Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli said on September 11 that wanted warlord Emzar Kvitsiani?s statement about his intention to launch partisan warfare against governmental troops in upper Kodori Gorge is simply one threat among many that have been voiced by Kvitsiani several times before.

?We have listened to his [Kvitsiani?s] threats several times; so you can listen to them further if you want to. I can say that the very important process of reconstruction is underway in the Kodori Gorge. Very serious investment programs are being implemented there and very soon the Abkhaz government[-in-exile] will be located in upper Abkhazia [upper Kodori Gorge],? PM Zurab Nogaideli told reporters.

When asked about the whereabouts of Emzar Kvitsiani, the Georgian PM responded: ?even if I had information about this, I would not tell you about it.?
