Traditionalists’ Leader Says State Chancellery will Fake Elections

(Tbilisi, May 31, Civil Georgia) – Leader of the Traditionalists party Akaki Asatiani claims State chancellery [President’s administration] is interested to fake the results of the local elections scheduled for June 2.

At the news conference on May 31 Asatiani said that Zurab Zhvania’s team and Mikheil Saakashvili’s National Movement would not be able to fake the elections any more as they have lost control over the Central Election Commission.

Zurab Zhvania and Mikheil Saakashvili also claim that the political forces close to the President’s administration will fake election results with the assistance of the State Chancellery.
