Parliament to Vote on Chkhobadze’s Candidature Today

(Tbilisi. December 20. Civil Georgia) – Parliament is to discuss Nino Chkhobadze’s candidature on the post of the Protection of Environment and Natural Resources Minister. President Shevardnadze re-nominated Chkhobadze on the post.

Nino Chkhobadze is the only candidate disapproved by the Parliament.

It is anticipated that the Citizens’ Union faction will support candidature. The Socialists, Revival and United Georgia factions will vote against Chkhobadze.

The Parliamentary Committee for Environment Protection disapproved Nino Chkhobadze’s candidature.
