Speaker of Swiss House of Representatives Visits Tbilisi

Speaker of the House of Representatives, one of the two chambers of the Swiss parliament, Christa Markwalder, held talks with the Georgian leadership during her visit to Tbilisi on September 5-6.
 
After Tbilisi, she will visit Ukraine and Moldova.
 
Markwalder met speaker of Georgia’s outgoing parliament, Davit Usupashvili, and some other MPs on September 5; she met President Giorgi Margvelashvili, PM Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze on September 6.

Free-trade agreement signed in June between Georgia and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA, which is made up of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland) was among the issues discussed during the talks with the Georgian leadership.
