Azerbaijani, Georgian, Turkish FMs to Meet in Tbilisi

Foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey will hold fifth trilateral meeting on February 19 in Tbilisi.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said that the trilateral meetings “contribute to the development of common understanding in all areas on the basis of mutual interest, and to the consolidation of regional stability and security.”

The format was launched in 2012, which was then also followed with similar regular trilateral meetings of defense ministers of the three countries, launched in 2014.

The trilateral meeting will be preceded by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu’s official bilateral visit and talks in Tbilisi on February 17.

According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Çavuşoğlu will hold talks with his Georgian counterpart Mikheil Janelidze; President Giorgi Margvelashvili; PM Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Parliament Speaker Davit Usupashvili.
