Latvian Foreign Minister to Visit Georgia

Foreign Minister of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs will be paying an official visit to Georgia on November 23-25.

During his meeting with the Georgian leadership, Rinkēvičs will discuss “the bilateral relations between Latvia and Georgia, the relations between the European Union and Georgia, the state of play in Georgia’s domestic policy, and issues of current regional and international importance,” the Latvian Foreign Ministry said.

It said that Rinkēvičs will meet his Georgian counterpart Giorgi Kvirikashvili; President Giorgi Margvelashvili; PM Irakli Garibashvili; Parliament Speaker David Usupashvili. He will also visit a kindergarten in the village of Ditsi of Gori municipality, close to the breakaway South Ossetian administrative border, which was equipped with the support from the Latvian Embassy in Georgia.
