Georgian FM, Defense Minister Visit Brussels

Georgian Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Defense Minister Tina Khidasheli visit Brussels where they will meet NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who visited Georgia in late August.

Khidasheli will participate at the NATO-Georgia Commission meeting, which will be held on the sideline of the alliance’s defense ministerial meeting at the NATO headquarters on October 8.

The Georgian Defense Ministry said that in Brussels Khidasheli will also meet her British, French; Bulgarian, Romanian, and Polish counterparts.

Foreign Minister Kvirikashvili will meet EU’s foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini; Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn; EU’s Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström and EU’s special representative for South Caucasus Herbert Salber, who along with representatives from the UN and OSCE, is a co-chair of the Geneva talks.

In Brussels the Georgian Foreign Minister will also meet his Belgian counterpart Didier Reynders.
