PM Visits Davos for World Economic Forum
Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili will be visiting Swiss ski resort of Davos to attend annual World Economic Forum on January 22-25.
According to PM’s office, Garibashvili plans meetings with “several foreign leaders”, among them Swiss Federal President and Foreign Minister Didier Burkhalter and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. PM’s office said that Garibashvili also plans meetings with executives from various companies, including Lafarge; Agility Logistics; AGCO; Lazard; Tata Sons; Emaar Properties; Jumeirah Group; Blackstone Group, as well as billionaire financier George Soros, who visited Georgia in December, 2012.
The PM is accompanied by Economy Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili; Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze; CEO of the state-owned Georgian Railway Mamuka Bakhtadze; head of the Georgian National Investment Agency Giorgi Pertaia and CEO of the Georgian Co-Investment Fund Giorgi Bachiashvili.
After visiting Davos, PM Garibashvili will head to Israel for the official visit, where, according to his office, a free trade agreement between the two countries will be signed.
After Israel, the PM will visit Munich for an annual security conference on January 31-February 2 and then will visit Brussels on February 3-5 for talks with senior EU officials and NATO Secretary General.
