CEC: Voter Turnout 25.88% at Noon
At noon, four hours after the polling stations opened at 8am, voter turnout reached 25.88%, according to the Central Election Commission (CEC).
CEC initially put noon turnout figure at 25.5%, which was later revised upwards citing that data from 5% of precincts were not included to initial figure.
In 2008 parliamentary elections, voter turnout by midday was 21.79%.
The highest voter turnout was observed in the Ambrolauri district of Racha – 40.3%, while in Tbilisi the most active voters were observed in the Mtatsminda constituency – 29.6%.
The lowest turnout was in Tsalka in Kvemo Kartli region – 18.3%, as well as in Tbilisi’s Isani constituency – 21.9%.
