
Gov’t Structural Changes Expected ‘Soon’
Cabinet members have launched consideration of structural changes in the government, Gia Khuroshvili, the government’s parliamentary secretary, told Maestro TV on June 23.
“Implementation of the government’s priorities in some cases requires structural changes,” he said.
He said that structural changes would automatically result into to some changes in the current composition of the cabinet. The planned changes, details of which have yet to be revealed, will occur “soon,” Khuroshvili said.
Temur Iakobashvili, the state minister for reintegration, said last week that considerations were underway about changes in the government. He, however, said the changes would not result into a major reshuffle of the cabinet.
The Georgian media has been speculating in recent weeks about anticipated resignation of Economy Minister, Zurab Pololikashvili.
