Iran, Georgia Discuss Cooperation in Agriculture

Bakur Kvezereli, the Georgian agriculture minister, paid a two-day visit to Iran late last week and met with his counterpart Sadeq Khalilian, as well as local businessmen working in agriculture sector to discuss deepening of cooperation, the Georgian Agriculture Ministry said on June 2.

“I am satisfied with the visit, as concrete results have been achieved. We have agreed that Iran will invest in Georgia’s agriculture sector and in particular will build sheep slaughterhouse in Georgia. We are also considering implementation of number of other projects as well,” Bakur Kvezereli, the agriculture minister, said.
