Ex-PM Nogaideli Visits Brussels
Former PM and leader of Movement for Fair Georgia, Zurab Nogaideli, is in Brussels “meeting with European politicians,” his party said on February 23.
According to Movement for Fair Georgia, Nogaideli met with Bulgarian MEP Evgeni Kirilov, who is a member of EU-Georgia parliamentary cooperation committee and discussed upcoming local elections and media freedom-related issues. Nogaideli also met with Helga Maria Schmid, director of the policy planning and early warning unit of the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union, to discuss issues related with Abkhazia and South Ossetia, Nogaideli’s party reported.
After signing cooperation agreement with Russia’s ruling party this month, Nogaideli said after visiting Kazakhstan last week, that “in near future” he would sign similar cooperation agreement with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev’s Nur Otan party.
