PM Gilauri Visits UAE, Kuwait

Georgian PM Nika Gilauri is visiting Dubai and then Kuwait to urge for exploring investment opportunities in Georgia, according to his press office.

In a meeting with senior officials of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) PM Gilauri discussed investments opportunities in Georgia, especially in the power sector, according to DCCI.

The Georgian PM also held meetings with senior executives of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

“We are very keen to explore new linkages with the Georgian financial services industry. The visit of the Georgian Prime Minister gave us a chance to discuss ways of initiating new financial industry ties with Georgia,” Abdulla Mohammed Al Awar, DIFC chief executive officer, said.

PM Gilauri, who is accompanied by Energy Minister Alexandre Khetaguri, will travel to Kuwait on February 16.
