Kokoity Says to ‘Resolve’ Detained Teens Issue ‘Soon’
Eduard Kokoity, breakaway South Ossetia’s leader, said he would resolve the issue of two Georgian minors from the village of Tirdznisi held in Tskhinvali “soon”, without giving specific dates.
According to a website of the breakaway region’s authorities, Kokoity told Council of Europe Human Rights Commissioner, Thomas Hammarberg, in Tskhinvali that he was not able “to implement our agreements [on release of two minors] today”, because of “irresponsible statements” of the Georgian leadership.
