Defense Minster: Georgia Increasing Defense Capabilities

Bacho Akhalaia, the Georgian defense minister, said the country’s defense capabilities are now batter than it was a year ago and it is further improving.

“Today the armed forces are more ready for defense than they were six months or a year ago. This is an ongoing process, which continues and I can assure you that after a month or after six months there will be more progress,” Akhalaia said while speaking at Rustavi 2 TV’s talk show, Position, late on November 13.

He said that working on increasing defense capabilities was an everyday process and “the strong army will be our one of our key priorities unless the last occupant leaves our territories.”
