Sokhumi Sets Date for Presidential Elections

Parliament in breakaway Abkhazia set the date for the presidential elections in the region for December 12, 2009, the local news agency, Apsnipress, reported on Wednesday.
 
Sergey Bagapsh announced in April that he would run for re-election.
