New U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Visits Georgia
Tina S. Kaidanow, U.S. deputy assistant secretary of state in charge of relations with countries in the Caucasus and Southern Europe, holds talks with Georgian authorities in Tbilisi on September 14.
Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister, Alexander Nalbandov, said upcoming Geneva talks, planned for September 17, and situation in breakaway regions would be discussed during Kaidanow’s meeting with Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze.
This is Kaidanow’s first visit to Georgia in the capacity of Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, the position which she took in August, replacing Mathew Bryza.
