After visiting France last week, Nino Burjanadze, a former parliamentary speaker and leader of opposition Democratic Movement-United Georgia party, is in the United States this week.
Her press office reported that Burjanadze held series of meeting in the State Department and Congress, as well as met with Alexander Vershbow, the U.S. assistant secretary of defense for international security affairs.
