A Georgian police post in the village of Muzhava, Tsalenjikha district, close to the Abkhaz administrative border was attacked at 4am local time on Monday, the Georgian Interior Ministry said.
No one was injured, it said.
It also said that “fire from grenade-launchers was opened from the territory currently under Russian occupation and military control.”
30 minutes later a high-voltage power line, Kavkasioni, close to the same village was damaged in an explosion, the Interior Ministry said.
Kavkasioni, a 500 kV power line, linking Georgian, Russian and Turkish power systems, is operated by Sakrusenergo, a joint venture of the Georgian government and Russia’s state electricity giant Unified Energy System.
