PACE Official Visits Breakaway S.Ossetia

Chairperson of the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Population of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Corien Jonker, will visit breakaway South Ossetia on March 13-14.

The visit, which will include trips to Tskhinvali and its surrounding areas, as well as to Akhalgori, will be made as a follow-up to PACE resolution passed in January, 2009, on the humanitarian consequences of the August war. In November, 2008, Corien Jonker of Netherlands, visited Tbilisi, as well as breakaway Abkhazia.
